It turns out that posting a picture per day ("OC Nature Picture of the Day") is going to require more time than I'm able to give it. The reason is that I found it unsatisfying to merely post a photo along with the name of the organism--I'm much more interested in doing a bit of research on the organism to find its range and any interesting facts about its life history.
So "OC Nature Picture of the Day" is hereby christened "Orange County Organisms", and will be updated at will. I've added a convenient "feed", above, which tracks my updates to that blog.
ADDENDUM: As of 7/6/07, the latest posting to "Orange County Organisms" is Giant Green Anemone. If this is not displayed in the feed above, try reloading this page. If that still doesn't work, then chances are that your Temporary Internet Files are being counterproductive and you need to reset them (these are copies of webpages, images, and media that were saved for faster viewing). If you're using Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Browsing history > Delete > Temporary Internet Files (Delete) > Close.
